Beautiful, Penny. I like that history is sort of repeating itself, first with a daughter then her daughters :) What a colourful collection :) xx

The cost of a pile of joy is not the issue. We pay much more for things that bring us less happiness.
i could roll in big piles of this stuff...of course I would enjoy rolling in a pile of kittens or bunnies too. Hahahhaha.

That is an explosion of colour and shapes indeed! What a beautiful collection! (And the poem is just perfect for it).

Love the poem and the pic. My mum used to collect buttons and I have them now, not that I will do anything with them!

Buttons!

That picture really takes me back! My mother used to have two old biscuit-tins full of buttons. She would never allow any garment to be thrown out unless the buttons were removed first - I think it was part of the wartime "make-do-and-mend" philosophy. Today, my wife keeps buttons, but not quite with the same level of enthusiasm. Our current odd-button stock fits in a jam-jar!
