Hmm, I think that there's two actions to be completed here for a friends list. You have to 'grant access' to let friends read your locked posts and on their info page you have to 'subscribe' to them to see them on your 'reading page'. A bit confusing.

I have uploaded user pics okay. What happens when you try to upload a new user pic? I've imported my entire LJ here.
